Adrian Chamberlain
Founding Director
Adrian Chamberlain has extensive experience in NHS primary care – commissioning services, managing contracts and running the organisations that deliver care.
Most recently he built a GP federation from zero into a functional, financially sustainable strategic partner – mobilising urgent care, GP access and community outreach services and delivering 17 outreach initiatives with voluntary-sector partners.
Formerly, he was Head of Primary Care at NHS Buckinghamshire CCG and, for 13 years, Head of Contracts covering medical, dental, ophthalmic and community pharmacy services across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. He co-authored national NHS England guidance on the medical, dental and ophthalmic performers lists and served on the Department of Health’s pharmacy market entry advisory group.
He holds an MSc in Social Policy from the University of Bath, where his 1994 dissertation argued for GP practices working at scale and for moving services out of hospital into primary care – ideas now at the heart of neighbourhood health. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a PRINCE2 Practitioner.
